Bank of the West's wealth management group is beefing up its services for entrepreneurs.

The San Francisco-based bank has launched a new offering called Private Business Owner Solutions that caters to owners of small- to medium-sized businesses with complex financial needs, the bank announced on Tuesday.

The new offering aims to help entrepreneurs manage both their personal and business affairs by assembling teams able to provide capital advisory and banking services, global investment management and consulting, retirement and investment services, estate administration, strategic philanthropy and trust services.

The offering is delivered through a network of offices in 28 cities throughout the United States, the bank said.

The initiative calls for advisors and bankers to work together and is led by Kristin Nelson, a former BNY Mellon senior wealth director who joined Bank of the West in June 2014.  She is responsible for managing the overall relationship the wealth management group has with the commercial banking and small medium enterprise groups as well as overall sales strategy, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Prior to BNY Mellon, Nelson was a senior vice president at Bank of America and a managing director at Deutsche Bank, a position she held for nearly 13 years. She has extensive experience working with private business owners and corporate executives in all aspects of their financial planning, the bank said.

Nelson reports to Steve Prostano, head of Family Wealth Advisors, a recently launched division focused on serving ultrahigh-net-worth individuals, families, foundations and family offices with more than $25 million in assets.  Prostano joined Bank of the West in April 2015.
