BNY Mellon Wealth Management is boosting its sales team in the tri-state region.

The firm has hired another wealth director for business development in Madison, N.J., bringing the number of sales directors there to five. Carolyn J. Simon, a former vice president and senior relationship manager at PNC Wealth Management, will be responsible for generating business in the New Jersey region, BNY Mellon announced on Tuesday.

The firm also hired a senior wealth director for business development in Garden City, N.Y. Gregory J. Lentini was previously a vice president and private banker at JP Morgan Private Bank, where he led a team of professionals in investment management, wealth advisory, capital advisory and banking. With Lentini, the Garden City office now has three wealth directors, according to BNY Mellon.

The two hires are part of the firm's campaign to increase its sales force in key wealth markets. BNY Mellon has hired more than 25 wealth directors nationwide so far this year, with several more to join in the coming months, the firm said.
