BNY Mellon Wealth Management is busting out in the West.
The firm has named two executives to newly created positions to help build on the momentum it has developed in serving clients in the western U.S., it said in an announcement.
Shannon Kennedy, the leader of BNY Mellon Wealth Management's offices in Orange and San Diego counties, will now lead the firm's Southwest offices in San Diego, Newport Beach, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Dallas, as regional president for the Southwest region.
Robert Kricena, a former regional managing director for Wells Fargo Private Bank, was named regional president for the Northwest region, which includes San Francisco, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Seattle and Denver.
The duo reports to David Emmes, president of U.S. Markets-West.
"I'm delighted that these two highly experienced professionals will help lead our team of talented regional presidents in the West," Emmes said in a statement.
Kennedy joined BNY Mellon in July 2013 as regional president of the Newport Beach, Calif., office. Prior to that, she served as director of Global Family and Private Investment Offices at Northern Trust, a position she held for eight years. She was with Northern Trust for 26 years.
Kricena, who joined the firm in April, was with Wells Fargo Private Bank for more than 14 years, serving in a variety of leadership roles. Prior to that, he was with Merrill Lynch as a wealth management specialist, according to his LinkedIn profile.
