Northern Trust announced four hires to expand capabilities and increase staff in the Northeast.
The Chicago-based company added three wealth advisors and a wealth strategist with previous experience from Wilmington Trust, U.S. Trust, JP Morgan Private Bank, Brown Brothers Harriman and Ernst & Young Personal Financial Services.
Jeff Kauffman, the president and chief executive officer of Northern Trust personal financial services in the Northeast, said the company plans to continue to add executives in the Northeast. “As our business accelerates, we plan to make more additions to our existing pool of expertise in areas such as financial planning, portfolio management, fiduciary services and private banking,” he said.
The company hired John Lee as a senior vice president and wealth advisor in its New York office. Lee is a lead relationship manager for high net worth individuals, families and endowment and foundation clients. He brings 23 years of asset management and client relationship experience. Lee was a managing director at Brown Brothers Harriman in New York, supervising one of the firm’s largest wealth management offices. Before that, he worked at U.S. Trust Co. of New York in its asset management group.
Maria Neary was hired as a senior vice president and wealth advisor in the New York office. She is responsible for delivering wealth management solutions to high net worth individuals and families. Before being hired by Northern Trust, she led Geller Family Office Services LLC, a multi-family office providing wealth management services to private clients. Before that, she was the chief operating officer at Braun Business Management, a multi-family office, and senior relationship manager at JPMorgan Private Bank.
Brian Donovan was hired as a senior vice president and wealth advisor in the Connecticut office. He will design comprehensive estate and financial plans for high net worth individuals and families. Donovan was a senior manager at Ernst & Young’s personal financial services group
Marisa Facciolo was hired as a vice president and wealth strategist in Northern Trust’s Delaware office. She specializes in new business development throughout the Northeast region. Facciolo worked for Wilmington Trust, where she served as a vice president and senior private client advisor within its wealth advisory services division. Before that, she worked for Tiedemann Trust Co. and JPMorgan in trust administration.
