When it comes to keeping clients happy, RBC Wealth Management tops the list. The firm beat rival full-service brokerage firms in overall investor satisfaction, taking the top spot in J.D Power & Associates’ 2013 U.S. Full-Service Investor Satisfaction Study.

It was the second time in the past three years that the investment firm came in first.

The annual study, now in its eleventh year, measures overall investor satisfaction based on seven factors (in order of importance): investment advisor, portfolio performance, account information, account offerings, commissions and fees, website and problem resolution. RBC Wealth Management performed particularly well in the areas of investment advisor, account information and investment performance, according to the study.  

RBC Wealth Management had an overall score of 820, up 50 points from its 2012 ranking. Fidelity Investments came in second with a score of 810, followed by Edward Jones (808), Charles Schwab & Co. (807) and Raymond James (802).

The 2013 study is based on responses from more than 4,700 investors who primarily invest with one of the 15 investment firms included in the study. The study was fielded in January to February 2013.
