Renaissance Capital has installed trade surveillance software from Redkite Financial Markets.

The investment bank, which focuses on Central and Eastern Europe, Africa, Central Asia and other emerging markets, has put in place Redkite's Redeye service to surveil activity in markets worldwide.

The service will enable Renaissance Capital to identify suspicious transactions and activities that are indicative of market abuse or manipulation.

"In light of the increasing market regulation taking place around the world, in particular in Russia, it was crucial that we found a next-generation market surveillance'' product, said Mark Harris, Group Head of Compliance at Renaissance Group.

The system successfully went live in August, six weeks' after the global contract was signed.
