A wealth management executive for TD Bank is moving up.
John Leto, a senior vice president and regional wealth leader for the metro New York region, was promoted to chief operating officer of TD Wealth Private Client Group. He will lead the group's strategic sales and support functions, the firm announced this week.
Leto joined TD Wealth in 2012 after serving as president and CEO of Standard Chartered Private Bank, Americas.
"John is wholly dedicated to ensuring TD Wealth is positioned as a leading high-touch, client-focused wealth management provider in the markets we serve," Brandon Williams, head of U.S. Wealth, said in the announcement. "I know that his deep wealth management experience coupled with his passion for the business will suit him well in his new role."
In addition, TD Wealth hired a former executive from U.S. Trust to fill the position Leto left. As regional wealth leader for the metro New York region, Margaret Preston will expand the firm's presence in the New York City, Westchester, Long Island and Northern New Jersey markets, the firm said.
At U.S. Trust, Preston served as managing director and regional executive, where she was responsible for attracting talent and leading client service teams across the Northeast.
