For bank reps looking to advance their careers, there’s no better news than a promotion or a new job offer. Here’s a sampling of bank reps who were recently promoted or moved to new organizations to assume roles of greater responsibility.

Giambattista Atzeni, BNY Mellon Wealth Management

Giambattista Atzeni, a senior relationship manager at BNY Mellon, was tapped to lead business development efforts in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey, the first such appointment in the region. As senior director for business development, Atzeni manages client relationships, business development and strategy. He is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Prior to joining BNY Mellon in 2006, Atzeni lived in Dublin, Ireland, where he worked in the investment funds and capital market industry at the Irish Stock Exchange and at BISYS Fund Services.

Scott Cox, BNY Mellon Wealth Management

Scott Cox joined BNY Mellon Wealth Management as managing director for business development in Pittsburgh. Cox leads a team of six directors and coordinates all business activity in Western Pennsylvania. He was formerly with Merrill Lynch, where he spent almost 20 years, most recently as director of Merrill Lynch’s Practice Management Consulting Group in Akron, Ohio.

Peter Curtis, BNY Mellon Wealth Management

Peter Curtis, a senior relationship manager serving BNY Mellon custody services clients, was appointed senior director for business development in the New York region. The longtime BNY Mellon employee spent most of this career in the company’s investment services group. He is based in New York City.

Dan Fasciano, BNY Mellon Wealth Management

Dan Fasciano, a senior portfolio manager at BNY Mellon Wealth Management, was promoted to family wealth advisor. He is based in Boston and works with ultra-wealthy families in New England.

Karl Gates, BNY Mellon Wealth Management

Karl Gates joined BNY Mellon Wealth Management in Los Angeles as senior director for business development. He was previously a business development manager at KLS Professional Advisors Group. In previous positions he was national sales director at UBS and a district manager for sales and marketing at Waddell & Reed.

Edward Kearney, BNY Mellon Wealth Management

Edward Kearney joined BNY Mellon Wealth Management in Newport Beach, Calif., as senior director for business development. Prior to BNY Mellon, Kearney was with ARAG North America, where he was managing director of sales.

Peter McManus, BNY Mellon Wealth Management

Peter McManus joined BNY Mellon Wealth Management as senior director for business development in Boston. He focuses on Boston’s North Shore. McManus was previously a senior vice president and head of business development at Granite Investment Advisors.

Jason Mudd, BNY Mellon Wealth Management

Jason Mudd joined BNY Mellon Wealth Management in Westport, Conn., as senior director for business development and is responsible for the Southern Connecticut market. Mudd was previously a private banker and sales executive with JP Morgan Private Bank in Greenwich.

Timothy Schieffelin, BNY Mellon Wealth Management

Timothy Schieffelin joined BNY Mellon Wealth Management as senior director for business development in Greenwich, Conn. He was formerly a senior advisor to JSBO Realty & Capital and Source Capital Group. Schieffelin spent the first 27 years of his career with Citigroup.

Christopher Swink, BNY Mellon Wealth Management

Christopher Swink joined BNY Mellon Wealth Management as senior director for business development in Tampa. He was previously with SunTrust Private Wealth Management, where he served as vice president and advisor to high-net-worth clients.

Rob Jasminski, Citi Private Bank

Rob Jasminski joined Citi Private Bank’s investment management unit as managing director and head of U.S. equities. In addition to leading the bank’s U.S. equity portfolio team, he oversees the investment process to help ensure that existing and future U.S. equity strategies are both relevant and competitive. Prior to joining Citi, Jasminski spent 20 years at GE Asset Management, where he most recently served as assistant director of research.

Mike Ott, U.S. Bank

Mike Ott was named president of U.S. Bank’s Private Client Reserve high-net-worth wealth management unit. Ott previously served as the unit’s Central Region President and Twin Cities Market Leader. He joined U.S. Bank in 2009 as head of investments for the Reserve in the Twin Cities.

Brett Sorensen, U.S. Bank

Brett Sorensen, a commercial banking relationship manager with U.S. Bank’s Commercial Banking Group, was appointed vice president and private banking relationship manager for the bank’s Private Client Reserve high-net-worth unit. In his new role, Sorensen assists high-net-worth individuals and families with their banking needs.

Michael Engelbrecht, Wilmington Trust

Michael Engelbrecht joined Wilmington Trust as a managing director and senior private client advisor in Palm Beach, Fla. He was previously with Deutsche Bank Securities, where he served as a managing director.

Katrina Lee, Wilmington Trust

Katrina Lee joined Wilmington Trust as a senior investment advisor in North Palm Beach. The former executive director of Barnstar Funds develops customized investment portfolios for high-net-worth clients and foundations.

John Shea, Wilmington Trust

John Shea joined Wilmington Trust’s wealth advisory team in Binghamton, N.Y., as a senior private client advisor. He provides wealth management advice to high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs, business owners, foundations and endowments. Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, Shea worked for BNY Mellon’s Asset Servicing business in Massachusetts where he was a senior consultant in its Global Risk Solutions Group servicing defined benefit and endowment and foundation clients.
